Abbey J is a Washington, DC based DJ, disco ball artist, and event consultant.
Abbey has played across the District at local favorites such as Flash, 9:30 Club, Culture Ivy City, Soundcheck, El Techo, and U Street Music Hall. As a member of the Nu Androids collective, Abbey has opened for Producers and DJs such as Lee Burridge, Carlita, Black Coffee, and Bonobo in her few years here in DC. As well as making appearances at staples like Bang Bang in San Diego, Miss Yo in New York City, and Elements Music and Arts Festival. Her style leans towards Acid house with tech and melodic influences but she covers a variety of genres, from disco to techno, bass house and progressive.
Abbey is also known in the Washington, DC area by her other moniker, “The Disco Witch”, creating and installing elaborate, themed decor for local hotels, warehouse parties such as the annual Desert Hearts Flash-off event, and many of the most popular clubs in DC. Her rotating exhibit “Disco Down the Drain” is currently installed at the local underground mecca Flash DC with new projects underway.
Abbey J Has been a Supporting Act For Black Coffee, Lee Burridge, Carlita, Yotto, Gioli and Assia, Bonobo, Eli Brown, Mason Maynard, Ferek Dawn, Rive Star, Sam Divine, Dom Dolla, Sonny Fodera, Mija, Justin Martin, KC Lights and more. Abbey also appeared on the 2021 and 2022 lineup for Elements Music and Arts Festival and Nightmare Music Festival in 2021.
